This chicken is so good! Personally I prefer the young chicken over the old chicken cos latter was really chewy and a bit tough. Dip the onigiri rice in the chicken gravy is a taste from heaven!

Had dinner at this restaurant 2016 October. There was a line going in as the restaurant was quite popular. We waited around 20-30 minutes to be seated. We had the chicken and rice balls. Overall the chicken was great tasting, it was full of flavor. The pickles and the cabbage leaves helped lighten the palate as the chicken was so well seasoned that at times the taste was too rich.

It's located on 3rd floor. It's not hard to find. All staffs are very nice. They provided English menu suddently we are seated. I had to wait 2 hours however I couldn't get a queue at honten in Shikoku because 2 hours is too long to operate at 23.00 hrs. Luckily I can have it here in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. It is crowded but I don't need to wait. 🤟🏼

I was underestimated this place and there roasted chicken when my friend recommended me (because the first choice of food in Japan for tourists is either beef or sashimi not a chicken). I suddenly regret after the frist bite because it extremely good! All the taste (some said it salty but I say it perfect taste to eat with rice), texture- crispy skin and soft +juicy inside), smell, and the cooking process is far beyond all of the other roasted chicken I ever had. Also the salad, I tried both house and ceasar salar with shredded chicken breast and both are good. Staff only speak a little English but no worry they have an English menu Overall the good here is excellent. This place open till late night and not so many people after 9pm. Enter the building and take the lift to 3rd floor. One of a must in Osaka

Excellent restaurant with excellent service! We both got the young chicken and it was juicy and tender, seasoning was perfect as well. We also got the chicken rice and ate it by dipping in the oil from the chicken (as recommended by other reviewers here) it was really good. Highly recommend for chicken lovers when visiting/staying in Osaka!

Felt it was alittle over hyped. The chicken was ok… fried rice with shredded egg was also ok… the onigiri dipped in the chickens juices - ok that was really good. Even the raw cabbage we enjoyed as we were famished. Maybe it was an off day for them but I didn’t feel the chicken was tender or juicy enough to deserve such an online reputation. We made sure to order the “young” chicken but somehow we felt the chicken was old. Not sure what happened but this is how it went down.

Seriously amazing for chicken. There's so much flavor and depth in each bite. I can’t describe how amazing this place is in terms of chicken. If you're doubting it, make sure you give it a good go! My recommendation is to order the younger chicken opposed to the older chicken. Highly recommended! *************EDIT********* Revisited this place after 3 years...and it’s still as good as when I came here years ago!!! That being said, I can understand ppl not necessarily liking it as it is somewhat oily. But it’s full of flavour!! Defo worth dropping by at least once if you’re curious. ****UPDATE**** Revisited AGAIN after 4 years last night (March 2023), and it’s still as good as when I went back 7+ years ago.

Really good chicken, perfectly grilled. It's oily but it's worth it. Place is smoker friendly so if you are non smoker you'll have to endure it. Portion may look small but they are filling and satisfying!
